Must-Do Activities Around Capitol Reef National Park

Auto tour Hwy 24 through the heart of the park, stopping to view the Fremont Indian rock art just east of the visitor center.

Auto tour the park's Scenic Drive.

Drive or mountain bike the 4X4 loop through Cathedral Valley or the South Draw to Tantalus Flats up Boulder Mountain Road.

Check out Grand Wash or Capitol Gorge for the less strenuous walks; those desiring more difficult trails should try Navajo Knobs, Cassidy Arch through Frying Pan Trail or the Upper Muley Twist trails.

Enjoy the small-town Western atmosphere in communities just outside Capitol Reef National Park.
